Our Brand History
Shumba Maheu is a fermented, maize based traditional non alcoholic beverage. The brand has 3 major categories which are malt, milk and ordinary maheu.
The Supersip dairy drink formulation was developed in the lab by Delta CBC R&D team in 2012. The formulation for Drinking yoghurt originated from Zambia at Heinrich’s Beverages. Production in Zimbabwe started in 2013.
Flavours
Yoghurt flavours: Banana & Strawberry; Mango and Pineapple. Dairy fruit drink flavours are Mango, Orange, Strawberry and Tropical
Carbohydrates
The Supersip Dairy fruit drink has 11.46% carbohydrate. Yoghurt has 14.7% carbohydrate
Dairy drinks have an acidified milky taste with a fruity flavour. Yoghurt has a sour milk taste with fruity flavour
Fermentation Process
The Yoghurt is made from cooked milk and corn starch which are fermented using lactic acid bacteriaServing Temperature
Both Supersip yoghurts and dairy drinks are best served chilled
All Supersip variants are packed in 400ml HDPE bottles. The Yoghurt is hot filled and foil sealed. Dairy fruit drink is cold filled and foil sealed. Products are labelled using gloss film coated stick on labels. The product is then packed into 12 units that are stretch wrapped
